Trusts & Estate Counsel or Partner – Tax

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney at the counsel or partner level for its Philadelphia office. The role calls for strong tax and transactional experience, with deep knowledge of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, along with familiarity with corporate and partnership tax issues tied to business sales, restructurings, and succession planning.
The attorney will advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on advanced estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, and trust administration, and will develop tax-efficient estate and business succession plans involving trusts, family partnerships, and charitable structures. The role also involves partnering with corporate and transactional teams on M&A matters touching shareholder, partnership, and tax considerations, and counseling clients on integrating estate and income tax planning with liquidity events, including pre- and post-sale planning. The attorney will draft and review complex estate planning documents and maintain strong client relationships, coordinating with accountants and other advisors.
Candidates should have a J.D. (LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred), Pennsylvania Bar admission, and 710 years of relevant experience. Salary range: $220,000$225,000.
