A law firm is seeking a Legal Practice Coordinator for its Austin, TX office. This role provides comprehensive administrative and practice support to assigned attorneys and other timekeepers, combining calendar management, client relationship coordination, and file management with practice-specific project work. The Coordinator maintains detailed calendars, serves as a point of contact for clients, manages client/matter lists, and handles both paper and electronic files in compliance with firm records policies. Responsibilities also include drafting and finalizing legal and administrative documents, coordinating practice group projects and client development efforts, and partnering with billing, marketing, and IT departments. Litigation support duties are significant, including trial binder preparation, deposition logistics, exhibit management, and coordination with court reporters and opposing counsel. The role also covers billing administration (time entry, prebills, invoicing), travel and meeting logistics, and mentoring junior staff.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, plus 3+ years supporting attorneys in a law firm or professional services environment. Litigation and trial experience is required. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, DocuSign, and billing software (e.g., Aderant or 3E) is essential, along with excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
